About Cameron
The independent voice in the room.
Cameron Meizer MBA GAICD is the reference point boards, chief executives and owners call when a decision carries consequence. An advisor who has held the seats his clients sit in.
Cameron has spent three decades in the rooms where organisations are actually steered: as a chief executive, a managing director, a board chair and a company secretary. He has led organisations through growth, contraction, restructure and renewal, and he has governed them through the same. That combination matters: he has been accountable for delivering strategy, and accountable for overseeing it.
His career spans government at every level (local, state and federal) alongside utilities, financial services, technology, professional services, manufacturing, retail and wholesale. That breadth is not a list of industries; it is why the pattern beneath a problem is usually familiar to him even when the industry is new. Organisations differ in what they do. They stall in remarkably similar ways.
The consistent thread through his executive and board work is the relationship between strategy, risk and accountability. Strategy that is not informed by risk drifts. Risk that is not connected to strategy becomes paperwork. And neither survives contact with an organisation where nobody is quite sure who decides what. Cameron's practice concentrates on exactly this junction, because in his experience it is where clarity is lost, and where it is recovered.
He approaches every engagement as a steward rather than a salesman. The advice is direct, the evidence comes before the opinion, and the engagement ends when the organisation can hold the change without him.
